First for soybeans.
We are approaching that next target at $11.55
This claws back 61.8% of the contract highs.
Our next target is right about at $12.00
$11.55 is also the gap on the daily active continuation chart.
Who is this alert for?
If you have DP, basis contracts that need to be priced, or if you have to move grain by the end of the year. This alert is specifically for you.
If you have more time on your hands, you have the ability to be more patient and flexible.
Anytime you have a limited amount of time, the smart thing to do is spread out your risk by:
A) Buying a put to establish a floor
B) Selling grain and re-owning with a call option to lock in a price while keeping your upside potential open
C) Make an incremental sale

I personally believe soybeans could head to $12. So I like keeping dry powder here and I do not believe this is the end of the rally.
However.. it simply makes sense to reward 16-month highs in a market ahead of a USDA report that could bring uncertainty. Especially if you are short on time.
I would not personally be trying to short this market speculatively. As I see the potential for further upside.
Next for corn.
It appears that we are breaking out on the chart.
We are above key resistance and the 200-day MA.
As long as the USDA doesn’t ruin the party.. it should result in further upside from a technical standpoint.
That being said.. if you have DP, basis contracts, or have to move grain by the end of the year. It probably makes sense to establish some downside protection ahead of the report.
If you have limited time, you have to be proactive.
If you do not have to move corn, we like being patient here as we have a breakout on the charts barring a bearish USDA report.
